What I love about supervision is the difference that a focused conversation with someone who shares a passion for coaching can have on the confidence and development of a coach; no matter how experienced how experienced or inexperienced they are. Coaching asks a lot of us in the service of others needs, giving time to supervision is a way of resourcing oneself to do even better work. As a supervisor, I will share many of the same issues you face, so I sit alongside you in your learning.
I have worked as a career and executive coach for over 30 years, which has allowed me to work with individuals at every career stage and across the public, private and not for profit sectors both in the UK and globally. My work with clients fueled my interest in resilience: which has become an important part of my coaching and supervision work. This led me to complete a doctorate in resilience coaching and to write a book for coaches on the subject. I am also fortunate to be part of the Faculty of the Academy of Executive Coaching, which allows me to work with coaches as they develop their skills. A natural extension has been to move into supervision to support coaches as they develop their practice. I am also a coach mentor for those seeking ICF accreditation. I now work with individuals who are starting out and may be new to supervision, and those who familiar with supervision, but are looking for a new voice. I also work as a group supervisor for internal coaches.
