Brilliant news for CSA graduate Sabreena Andriesz! Edna and Miriam join Leanne, Jo and the CSA Asia Pacific team in congratulating Sabreena Andriesz in achieving her Doctorate from Fielding Graduate University, Santa Barbara!
Sabreena used a qualitative study to explore the facilitators and barriers to the career advancement of Asian leaders and their ability to succeed in the workplace. Key themes that emerged were identified as five categories of tension in the life cycle of an Asian born and educated leader. These were adaptiveness, colonial ethnocentricism, learning from upbringing, mentorship and self-mastery. Sabreena hopes her research will inform and influence Human Resource partners including coaches, Western leaders, Asian leaders, and future researchers.
