The significance of Mindfulness and Presence as essential elements of coaching is more and more widely acknowledged. This group will introduce a model linking mindfulness and presence and explore how we can use mindfulness and meditation to:
· Be present and attentive to our clients – with the confidence to lay down our tools and techniques and simply be
· Be present and attentive to ourselves, more able to work with our own emotional states and how they are affecting our interactions with our cients
· Help clients to develop their own resources of mindfulness and presence, become more confident and reduce anxiety
This is an opportunity to join a Supervision Group focusing specifically on these areas. Group members will have the opportunity to explore issues and events arising within their own coaching through the lens of a mindful and present approach.
The group will led by Ian Mackenzie. Ian has been coaching and leading groups and workshops for over twenty years. He is an accredited Coach Supervisor and has been a tutor on the Coaching Supervision Academy’s Diploma programme since 2009.
Ian is also a long-term meditator and practitioner in the fields on mindfulness and presence. As well as teaching meditation, he runs workshops in Mindfulness and Presence for coaches and coaching supervisors through the Coaching Supervision Academy, Association of Coaching Supervisors and the Presence Partnership. He contributed the chapter on Mindfulness and Presence in the forthcoming book Full Spectrum Supervision.
