After majoring cultural anthropology at university, I spent 20 years experience in corporate world, mainly in corporate finance, strategy and management.
After engaging in strategy, execution and management, I came to thought that it always came down to people that make extraordinary results.
With that realization, I started my coaching training and I have been practicing coaching since 2008 to help people to optimising their potential.
As a supervisor, my style is reflective and co-creative.

Accredited Coach Supervisor with CSA.  Accredited Coach with:  APECS (Executive Coach); Association for Coaching (Master Executive Coach); BPS (Registered Coaching Psychologist); ISCP (Coaching Psychologist).  When coach supervising much of my work goes beyond theory, tools and techniques, although these are referred to and used, where appropriate.  Focus is on presence, attention, listening, asking powerful questions, clean language and offering real-time feedback, challenge and support to challenge assumptions and to elicit from a supervisee the insights they need to move from where they are, to where they want to be, then to work with them to create practical steps for action, which are then embedded into their practise.

As a coach I work with my client as a facilitator raising awareness through analysis, challenge and reflection, and therefore enabling the person being coached to formulate their own ideas and solutions. My purpose is to create a safe, confidential space for my client to separate the surface issues from their underlying needs so that I can then empower them to move forward.

Being trained by the Coaching Supervision Academy has given me the skills and inner resources to work with practicing coaches in an intuitive and adaptive way using the four cornerstones of coaching supervision; contracting, energy management, presence and mindfulness.”

I am a passionate learner in many areas, all of which support my practice of facilitating leadership development, coaching and coach super-vision. For 25 years, I’ve been the President of Megatrain Inc. and a senior faculty member at the University of Alberta’s Executive Education team. In the recent past I also was faculty of The Banff Centre leadership provider and Royal Roads University, coaching in the Master of Arts in Leadership. I am also a Consultant and Facilitator in the profound work of Dr. Brenda Brown who has spent past fifteen years studying vulnerability, courage, worthiness, and shame. I use her methodology in all of my work to help people show up, be seen and live bravely. My current learning passions are in the areas of: executive and team coaching, North America’s emerging field of coach super-vision, emotional intelligence, organizational culture, and positive psychology. With a well-earned reputation, I blend my practical, workplace experience with academic quests, to create a dynamic learning environment. I split my time between Calgary, Alberta and Victoria, BC, Canada and world travels.

During her award-winning career in the corporate world, Kelly developed a “leadership from the inside-out” philosophy, which included regular reflection and working with an executive coach. Nearly 25 years later, she implemented a long-term dream and earned her own professional coaching credential through the Hudson Institute of Coaching.

Kelly has since coached over 450 senior executive and high-potential leaders from more than 15 countries in over 30 industries, including 100 Best Companies and the Fortune 50. Kelly also mentored dozens of coaches and became a pioneering participant of the first Coaching Supervision Academy course delivered in North America. Kelly now offers supervision services to seasoned coaches worldwide.
